Manchester United finalize £71m transfer deal for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo

‎Manchester United have secured an agreement with Brentford to sign highly-rated forward Bryan Mbeumo in a deal that could rise to £71 million. This major move follows extensive negotiations over recent weeks and marks United’s most expensive signing of the summer transfer window to date.

‎The structure of the agreement includes an initial payment of £65 million, distributed over four instalments, along with an additional £6 million available through performance-based bonuses. Sources close to the deal indicate that both parties are now working to finalize the necessary formalities before an official announcement.
‎Mbeumo, 25, had made it clear that Old Trafford was his preferred destination should he decide to leave Brentford. His determination to join Manchester United played a crucial role in accelerating the transfer talks, particularly after the Red Devils intensified their pursuit earlier this month with a formal offer reported at £65 million plus £5 million in potential add-ons.
‎Brentford held firm throughout the negotiation process, initially rejecting proposals that fell below their valuation. United’s earlier bids — including £45 million with £10 million in bonuses and a subsequent £55 million plus £7.5 million in add-ons — were turned down as the London club sought a fee surpassing the £62.5 million spent by United on Matheus Cunha earlier in the window.
‎The Cameroonian international previously communicated his commitment to joining Manchester United over other interested Premier League clubs. Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Newcastle United were all monitoring his availability, but Mbeumo informed Brentford and Tottenham last month of his decision to prioritize a move to Erik ten Hag’s side.
