Manchester City Agree Deal to Sign Arsenal Midfield Prospect Mishel Nduka
Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Arsenal midfield prospect Mishel Nduka after the 16-year-old turned down a new contract offer from the Gunners.
Manchester City have agreed to sign 16-year-old Arsenal midfield prospect Mishel Nduka after he turned down a new contract.
The England youth international is expected to undergo a medical imminently before completing his move to Manchester City on scholarship terms. A professional contract is then expected to follow as City continue their efforts to recruit and develop some of the most promising young players in the game.

Arsenal had presented Nduka with a highly competitive long-term contract in an effort to retain the midfielder, but the teenager is now expected to continue his development at Manchester City.
Nduka joined Arsenal from Charlton Athletic in 2025. During the 2025-26 campaign, he featured for Arsenal’s Under-18s and also made appearances for the club’s under-21 side in Premier League 2.
His anticipated move to Manchester City comes shortly after the club completed the signing of 17-year-old Jeremy Monga from Leicester City this month. That deal was worth £12.5m in total, consisting of £10million plus £2.5m in potential contingencies.
Arsenal had also shown interest in Monga but ultimately withdrew from the race after believing the valuation was too high.
Manchester City’s recruitment of young talent could also see England youth international Heaven Kilwa arrive at the club. The Athletic reported in July that Kilwa was expected to join City after rejecting a scholarship offer from Aston Villa.
Nduka’s expected arrival further highlights Manchester City’s continued focus on bringing in promising young players and developing them through the club’s youth system.
