Roma have stepped up their activity in the transfer market, with Alejandro Garnacho continuing to rank among the club's priority targets. According to calcionews24, the Serie A side have made fresh contact regarding the Chelsea starlet, underlining their determination to bring the Argentina international to the Stadio Olimpico.
Although convincing Chelsea to part with the talented winger represents a difficult challenge, Roma believe the deal is complicated but achievable and one that could significantly improve the team's overall technical quality.
Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United during the summer of 2025 in a deal worth close to £40 million, signing a contract that runs until 2032. His first season at Stamford Bridge proved difficult, however, as he registered eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances across all competitions while Chelsea finished 10th. The winger also struggled for regular starts, spending much of the campaign competing for consistent playing time.
Alongside their efforts to sign Garnacho, Roma remain fully committed to pursuing Crysencio Summerville. The Dutch winger, who is under contract with West Ham until 2029, featured 34 times last season, scoring seven goals and providing five assists despite the club's relegation to the Championship.
Roma highly value Summerville's technical qualities, age, and long-term development potential. He has emerged as the standout name on the club's shortlist, with negotiations continuing to gather momentum.
The club's recruitment strategy is focused on adding at least two players capable of operating in wide attacking positions. Because of that approach, a move for Summerville would not rule out a simultaneous pursuit of Garnacho. While signing both players is not guaranteed, it also remains a possibility.
Roma have also moved to dismiss speculation surrounding Atletico Madrid defender Nahuel Molina, with reports stating the Argentine full-back is focused on tomorrow's World Cup final. The club's current priority remains strengthening its attacking wide areas rather than recruiting traditional wing-backs.
Likewise, suggestions linking Roma with Fiorentina's Dodo have been dismissed, with those reports never considered to have substance. Roma are keeping their recruitment strategy focused, directing their financial resources only toward the profiles requested by the coaching staff.
Under manager Gian Piero Gasperini, Roma are looking to continue their positive momentum after finishing third last season. That achievement secured the club's return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2018-2019 campaign, ending a lengthy absence from Europe's premier club competition.
