Anthony Gordon Targets Champions League Glory After Completing FC Barcelona Move
Anthony Gordon has wasted little time outlining his ambitions after sealing his move to FC Barcelona, with the England international making it clear that winning the Champions League is a major target during his spell in Spain.

The former Newcastle United F.C. winger completed his transfer to the Catalan side on a five-year deal reportedly valued at €80m (£69m). Following his arrival, Gordon visited the club museum, where he reflected on Barcelona’s rich European history and immediately set his sights on adding another continental title to the collection.

While standing in front of the five Champions League trophies displayed by the club, Gordon stated: "We need the sixth."
The 25-year-old later explained that he hopes to help Barcelona reclaim European glory during his time with the club, further underlining the ambition he carries into this new chapter of his career.
Gordon praises Hansi Flick after first meeting
Away from his Champions League ambitions, Gordon has already begun settling into life at Barcelona and revealed positive early impressions of head coach Hansi Flick.
Discussing his first conversation with the German manager, Gordon said: "Very good, very positive. He is a great guy and he made me feel very comfortable."
The winger also admitted he is eager to connect with supporters and experience playing at the Spotify Camp Nou, while stressing that winning trophies remains the primary objective.
According to Gordon, his immediate focus is to "meet the fans, first of all, and play in the stadium, but fundamentally win many titles."
Gordon embraces Barcelona culture and dressing room
The England international also revealed more about his personality during a rapid-fire Q&A session, joking that he could create a ‘Book Club of Catalunya’ because of his passion for reading.
Gordon confirmed he has already met several teammates, including Frenkie de Jong and teenage star Lamine Yamal. When asked which player had the best fashion sense in the squad, he quickly selected Yamal.
The winger has reportedly been preparing for the move for some time, including practicing Spanish over the last two years with a physiotherapist during his time at Newcastle. Gordon also hinted that supporters can expect a brand-new goal celebration once he scores his first goals in Barcelona colours.

In a final message to supporters, Gordon expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he has received since arriving in the city and described joining Barcelona as a lifelong ambition fulfilled.
"Thank you for the love. I am very excited and proud to be here. It is a dream come true. The best team in the world, Barcelona," he concluded.
