Roma Step Up Endrick Pursuit While Chasing Crysencio Summerville and Alejandro Garnacho
Roma have stepped up their summer recruitment strategy by launching an ambitious move for Real Madrid forward Endrick. The Serie A club are aiming to reshape Gian Piero Gasperini's attack, with plans to pair the Brazilian youngster alongside Premier League wingers Crysencio Summerville or Alejandro Garnacho during the upcoming campaign.

Roma Exploring Loan Deal for Endrick
According to Italian outlet Il Messaggero, Roma are working on a loan move for Endrick. Gasperini is seeking dependable cover for Donyell Malen, who signed a long-term contract with the club earlier this summer, while Artem Dovbyk is not part of the manager's plans.
Endrick recently returned to Spain following a loan spell at Lyon, where he scored eight goals in 21 appearances. Since arriving at Real Madrid in July 2024, the Brazilian has registered seven goals in 40 matches. Roma believe former manager Jose Mourinho, now in charge of Madrid, could play an important role in persuading Endrick to make the move to Italy.
Summerville Leads Roma's Winger Shortlist
Roma have also advanced negotiations for Crysencio Summerville. Sporting director Tony D'Amico held talks with the winger's representatives yesterday over a potential transfer.
Summerville joined West Ham for €29.3 million in August 2024 after impressing at Leeds. Since then, he has scored eight goals in 56 appearances and remains under contract until June 2029.
Although negotiations had previously proved challenging, the winger has eased his wage demands. Roma remain committed to their €4 million annual salary limit and will not exceed €40 million in any transfer offer, but positive early discussions have boosted confidence.
Garnacho Identified as Alternative Option
Should Roma fail to complete a deal for Summerville, Alejandro Garnacho has been lined up as the club's alternative target.
The Argentine, whose Chelsea contract runs until June 2032, joined the London club in August 2025 for €46.2 million after scoring 26 goals in 144 appearances for Manchester United. He has since recorded eight goals in 43 matches for Chelsea.
Roma's opening proposal included a €5 million loan fee with an obligation to buy for €35 million if certain conditions were met, but Chelsea rejected the offer.
The Serie A side have also submitted a separate proposal worth €30 million plus a 10 percent sell-on clause for Strasbourg winger Diego Moreira.
What Comes Next for Roma?
Roma are now awaiting Summerville's final decision before submitting an official bid. At the same time, they will continue assessing the possibility of bringing Endrick to Italy.
With pre-season friendlies approaching, Gasperini hopes to complete his attacking additions quickly so he can finalise his tactical preparations alongside Malen.
