‎Iran Forced to Leave US Immediately After New Zealand Draw as Manager Amir Ghalenoei Criticises Organisers

‎Travel Disruption Overshadows Iran's Performance
‎Iran produced a resilient display, coming from behind twice through goals from Ramin Rezaeian and Mohammad Mohebbi to earn a point. However, attention quickly shifted away from the result as logistical complications emerged after the final whistle.
‎Organisers reportedly moved the team's travel schedule forward, forcing the squad to abandon planned recovery time and return to their security base in Tijuana.
‎Ghalenoei Voices Frustration
‎The Iran coach expressed frustration over the impact that repeated travel demands have had on his players' physical and mental condition.
‎He said: "We spent so much time in the air commuting, they didn't even give us time to recover. After the game today, they said to us you have to leave immediately. It's very important for us to have time for recovery, but we've been told to return to our camp in Tijuana and we are really troubled by that. I think perhaps our team is the most repressed team in the whole World Cup."
‎Support From Iranian Fans Praised
‎Despite mixed reactions during the national anthem, Ghalenoei highlighted the unity shown by Iranian supporters inside the stadium.
‎The 70,108 spectators created a strong atmosphere throughout the match, and the coach praised fans from different backgrounds for supporting the team.
‎He added: "There were many Iranians here, they believe in different political affiliations, different beliefs, but they all wholeheartedly encouraged us, and I think that's a victory for all of us."
‎Taremi Seeks Greater FIFA Assistance
‎The challenges surrounding the team also prompted comments from captain Mehdi Taremi after FIFA president Gianni Infantino visited the squad following the match.
‎Taremi suggested that additional support from football's governing body is needed.
‎He stated: "For sure, he wants to try to help us, but it's about other things, too, everyone knows it. I don't need to mention that, because you know where we are. I think FIFA has to help us more than this. Let's see what happens in the future. Everything is a disaster for us."
‎Belgium Match Approaches
‎All four teams in Group G sit on one point after the opening round of matches. Iran must now quickly shift focus to Sunday's meeting with Belgium.
‎With limited recovery time available, Iran's coaching staff faces a significant challenge in preparing the squad physically for a crucial test against the European side as Team Melli continue their pursuit of a place in the knockout rounds.
